Cake and Ice Cream

After dinner we had family over for cake and ice cream. Daniel put Ryan's bike together and he rode around outside. He also got some more presents that he had so much fun playing with!

Chevy's Birthday Dinner

After Toysrus we went to Chevy's for dinner. They sang to Ryan and gave him a hat and an ice cream. Ryan loved that!

A new bike for Ryan

For Ryan's birthday we took him to Toysrus and got him a new big boy bike. He had so much fun riding all of the bikes around the store, trying to decide which bike was his favorite. We finally settled on a Orange Mongoose that he said was "super-fast".

Ryan's Birthday

Ryan had school on his birthday so Mom and I took cupcakes to his class. They sang him "Happy Birthday" and Ryan was just so excited to see me and mom there.

Nana's Sleepover

My mom came up for Ryan's birthday. We had so much fun! Ryan wanted her to sleep in his room so she slept in his bed while he slept on the trundle. It was so cute, they stayed up talking to each other. The boys just reveled in their opportunity to enjoy their Nana for the extended weekend. I loved having my mom here and my heart felt heavy when she had to leave.

Pier 39

On Monday we decided to go to San Francisco with Mom and the boys. Ryan wanted to see the sharks. We went to the Aquarium on the Bay which was right on the Pier 39. It was really cool. You go through two long tunnels that have all of the fish that live underneath the pier and then underneath the Golden Gate bridge. Dylan really liked it too! Ryan was actually a little afraid that the sharks were going to get us. They really swam right up to us! They also had touch pools where I touched a shark! I can't believe I did that- I'm such a scaredy cat!

BATMAN!

Ryan is crazy about Batman! It was his idea to have a Batman birthday party. We decided to do a friends only party this year for him, since he was going to be 4. I still can't believe that he is 4! He had Grant, Calvin, Kennedy, Luke, Kyle, and Mason over to celebrate. They jumped in the bounce, played duck, duck goose, colored, and played waterballoons with Batman. Ryan got a little scared when Batman picked him up and started crying and screaming. It was a great party and I think everyone had a great time. His party wasn't until Saturday so he was a little upset when we told him that he wasn't 4 until Tuesday.

For the Dogs

The boys were thirsty so Daniel got them a drink of water. They thought it was funny that he got them a big bowl. They were lapping at the water like dogs! I can only imagine the things that goes on when I'm not around!

BBQ @ the Park

So, it's been a month since I have updated my blog. August is one of the busiest times for us with Ryan's birthday and our anniversary. We started the month with a bbq at the park with our friends. It was so fun and Ryan couldn't believe that we were at the park when it was dark.
